Pentastar thick is making me curious

Howdy! my dad owns a 2024 ram promaster and he's worried about the pentastar thick. I told him that he's worry too much bcs he only has 50 miles on it. but I actually got a little curious, how will we know that the thick is starting? is the thick constant or change at a different speed? I heard that it's started on 175K miles or higher, is this true?

@fast&curious Haha facts. At 50 miles that engine is basically still a babyyy. But to answer the question, the tick usually shows up over time and gets worse with age or oil issues, not speed.

Exactly, 50 miles barely makes a dent. The ticking sounds come from wear and tear, carbon buildup, or problems with oil circulation over a long period, not just how fast you drive.
