What's the best thing you've made for your van?
Mine is my cushions and I'm quite proud of it.
I've tried a bunch of other sleeping options that didn't work out (air mattress too cold, house mattress too big, gym mats too hard, gel foam too hot).
So, I made stylish covers from super tough vinyl leather (like snowmobile seats!),
The cushions got cool silver rings (grommets) and black rope (military grade paracord) laced up the sides in an "X" pattern (like sending "hugs and kisses" to people in the van)
The rope also ties the cushions to the benches with big, easy knots.
I made them myself using a strong sewing machine, tough thread, and an industrial style grommet press to attach the them.

I made modular storage bins for my buddy's van, turned out great! Crafted from sturdy plywood, painted to match the van's interior and equipped with locking casters for easy movement. Kept everything organized, cost next to nothing and rollout effortlessly whenever needed.

Oh wow I am totally inspired! I'm adding cushions next to my DIY project. I was just sharing in a different thread how I made insulated window covers. That really made a huge difference while camping in the cold!
