I was a heavy line mechanic for years at dealerships and my own shop & continue to change my own oil even though it's harder to do now.
Started using a oil recovery pump with hose down the lipstick tube. I heard the PM oil pan drain is.a.bit higher than the bottom of the pan
( like a lot of vehicles) and this method gets all the oil out on the bottom plus it's quick with no mess!
Everything is completed top side and I have it drain right into my used oil container. Since it's so easy and cheaper to do yourself, I change my oil more often than most.
Works for me.
