My airbag light is on, do I need an airbag service?

After a crash last month, the airbag light is sometimes on

I wonder, do airbags need routine maintenance like oil changes?
And when do airbags actually need servicing?

How much does it usually cost?

Nope, no oil changes definitely.. But if the light is caused by a crash, you need to get it checked asap to see if it needs replacing already. We all know why ofc. Servicing can cost anywhere from $100 for diagnostics to around a $1k if parts need replacing

Airbags don't need regular maintenance like oil changes, but if the light's on after a crash, the system needs a diagnostic check

If you had damage that was repaired by a collision center, they should have scanned it, checked out the codes, repaired them, scanned again, and then clear all codes. Take it back ASAP and have it repaired correctly.
