2WD promaster replace only 2 front or all tires?

I notice the rear tires wear out less early than the 2 on the front. I was thinking if I can save some money by just replacing the two front tires now and then rotating them to the back when the front ones need replacing again later on.

Hmm, well, isn't it that the normal observation for FWDs? But nonetheless I really don't think it's a good idea to just replace two tires. Do note it should be done to all tires unless you experienced blown tires affecting only one or some?

I suggest rotating tires only when they're all new or at similar mileage.
Uneven wear across all four tires can mess with your handling and potential safety issues.
You'll end up replacing all four anyway so I say just do it all in one go!
Once all tires are replaced, I suggest you start a regular rotation schedule every 5,000 - 7,000 miles.
Then replace all four again when needed!
I've taken my ProMaster on long drives and that trick gives me better tire life!

If you only want to replace two tires, you might want to put the new tires in the back and move the old ones to the front. This strategy strikes a balance between affordabiltiy and safety

I wouldn't bargain on safety, but if you're thinking of putting your tires on rotation, I suggest going with @jamiemyway's idea!

That's a logical thought to try and save some money, but uneven wear between front and rear tires can sometimes indicate other issues like alignment problems
